Kokoro Ramen

“ Had the mini combo with tonkotsu ramen and sashimi salad. Ramen just the right size for a taste but not too filling. Tonkotsu broth had very satisfying, well rounded flavour, a bit smoky like the bones were scorched. Kokuton black garlic ramen near perfect: pork soft, veg crunchy, broth creamy, but noodles were thin not ramen. All deep fried foods nicely made with delicate panko crust, not greasy. Salad had nice citric dressing. Sake fruit sampler like soda - gone instantly. Not as great: Umami miso ramen too salty, Vegetarian ramen lacked soul. Pork katsu too dry. ”

“ We decided to dine in the neighborhood tonight. It was our first time here. From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed. The staff were friendly and attentive. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere. Tables were clean. We ordered a Blue lychee and Rose gin and tonic cocktail. They were yummy. We shared deep fried octopus skewers and they were crispy and tasty. We each ordered a shio tonkatsu with egg. The ramens were a good size. The broth was very tasty and rich. The pork was tender. The egg had a nice gooey yolk. The ramen noodles had the right bite. Overall I’d highly recommend Kokoro to everyone. ”

“ Tonkotsu ramen was almost perfect, however some condiments I think were not necessary are fried shallots and Nori. The chicken karage is good but, it will be perfect if they cut into small bites. Overall not bad ”

“ I really enjoyed their vegan ramen and mini curry bowl. Flavourful, and gentle on my sensitive stomach. I asked for non spicy for both dishes, and the food was delicious! I came with my friend on New Year’s Eve, and it was nice to see I got the same server again each visit. He’s a joy to be waited by. Great customer service! I look forward to coming back. 4 stars for atmosphere because the interior could be renovated with more space but it doesn’t bother me much. ”

“ Kokoro Ramen is located right on a corner of Vict Dr, conveniently placed by a R4 stop as well. For those living in the neighbourhood or commuting, this is a cozy little spot to pick up a quick bite to eat. Personally, after my first visit here, I’ve been back many times as their ramen is reliably delicious. I regret not trying out this place sooner, as I’ve been aware of it for over a year but only tried recently! They currently offer a student deal, where you can pick to have a free side of their Shaka Shaka Fries or 2 pieces of their Karaage Chicken, so long as you order any ramen and show a valid student ID! Additionally, they also offer meal deals, all of which can be viewed beforehand on the menu they have displayed by their doors. I always go for the Shoyu Tonkotsu Ramen and their Fries, it’s a fantastic combo that I truly enjoy since I love their broth flavour and the amount of fries they offer is quite generous. Perhaps this is due to the timing of my visits (often 2-3pm), but there has never been a wait for seating and I find that the environment is well-kept. Kokoro offers some tables for pairs, one main seating area in the center of the dining space, and lots of seating close to the windows and walls. I find the decor and organization of the space to be very appealing, as ample seating options are offered without things feeling crammed! From my experience, the employees here are friendly too, often smiling and checking in during the meal. I definitely will be coming back to this lovely and convenient neighbourhood gem! If you’ve been aware of Kokoro but is hesitant like I was, hopefully my review encourages you to work past that hesitation and give them a try! ”
